Before We Begin…

Choosing a photographer is about much more than liking someone’s portfolio.

Before booking a session, I’d like to share a little about how I approach photography, what you can expect from me, and why Naked Chapters came to life in the first place.

If my way of working resonates with you, I have no doubt we’ll create something beautiful together.

For more than ten years, I’ve worked behind the scenes as a professional photo retoucher for luxury boudoir studios around the world. Looking at thousands of portraits shaped the way I see photography today.

Again and again, I watched women transformed into versions of themselves that no longer felt entirely real. I also noticed how often these photographs were created as gifts for someone else rather than as something women could keep for themselves. While I have immense respect for the boudoir industry and the talented people I worked alongside, those years helped me realise I wanted to create something different.

I wanted to create photographs that belonged to the woman in front of the camera before they belonged to anyone else — photographs that honoured both her story and the body that carried her through it.

So often we postpone being photographed because we’re waiting for something to change. We want to lose a little weight, feel more confident, have better skin, grow our hair, or simply become a different version of ourselves before stepping in front of a camera.

I don’t believe you have to become someone else before you deserve to be photographed.

I want these photographs to become a reminder of who you were during this chapter of your life — not of who you hoped to become one day.

Some women arrive excited. Some are nervous. Some haven’t stepped in front of a camera for years. All of those experiences are welcome.

My role isn’t to photograph perfection. It’s to create an environment where you feel comfortable enough to relax, enjoy the process, and gradually forget about how you look.

But even more than beautiful photographs, I hope you leave feeling that being photographed didn’t have to be stressful, awkward, or something you had to prepare months for.

My hope is that your photo book becomes more than a collection of photographs. I hope it becomes an heirloom — a quiet reminder of who you were, preserved for the years ahead.

Before you ask…

Frequently Asked Questions | Naked Chapters

What happens before the photoshoot?

Once you’ve booked your session, I’ll send you everything you need to feel prepared. You’ll receive practical information, access to the Client Library, and a few suggestions to help you decide what to wear and where you’d like your session to take place.

There isn’t a long planning process or a complicated questionnaire — I prefer to keep things simple. My goal is for you to arrive feeling informed, relaxed, and excited rather than overwhelmed.

Do I need to know how to pose?

Not at all.

Most of the women I photograph have never had a professional photoshoot before, and many arrive convinced they’ll feel awkward in front of the camera. That’s completely normal.

Rather than placing you into a series of fixed poses, I usually suggest a starting point and gently guide you throughout the session. We talk, we move, we experiment, and the photographs naturally develop from there.

The goal isn’t to create perfectly posed images — it’s to create photographs that feel natural, relaxed, and true to you.

Can I decide how much I want to reveal during the Naked Chapters Experience?

Always.

There is no expectation for you to be fully nude. Every session is different, and together we’ll create something that feels comfortable and true to you.

Some women choose to remain fully dressed. Others feel drawn to implied or artistic nudity. There is no “right” way to experience Naked Chapters.

The project isn’t about nudity itself. It’s about celebrating the female body in whatever way feels honest to you and creating photographs you’ll be proud to look back on for years to come.

Your comfort will always come before any photograph.

Can I keep my photographs private?

Of course.

Your privacy is entirely your choice. I will never share your photographs without your permission. If I’d love to feature images from your session in my portfolio, on my website, or on social media, I’ll always ask for your approval first. You’re welcome to keep your session completely private, and that decision will always be respected.

Do I need professional hair & makeup?

I want you to arrive looking like yourself — whether that’s no makeup at all, your everyday makeup, or a professionally done look. There isn’t a right or wrong choice, only what feels most comfortable to you.

For that reason, professional hair and makeup isn’t included in my sessions. If you’d like to book an artist, I’ll be happy to recommend people whose work I trust. You’ll also find a guide in the Client Library with my suggestions.

I’m also a trained makeup artist, so I always carry a small makeup kit with me for quick touch-ups before or during the session if needed.

How do I book a session?

Booking is simple.

Once we’ve agreed on a date, I’ll ask for a €100 booking fee to reserve your session. This fee is non-refundable, but if your plans change, you’re welcome to reschedule with at least one week’s notice and your booking fee will be transferred to the new date.

The remaining balance is due on the day of the photoshoot. Once the payment has been received, I’ll begin preparing your final photographs and, for the Naked Chapters Experience, the design and production of your photo book.

What happens after the photoshoot?

After the session, I’ll carefully go through all the photographs and prepare a private online gallery for you to view. From there, you’ll choose your favourite images included in your package, and if you’d like to keep more, you’ll have the option to purchase additional photographs.

Once you’ve made your selection, I’ll prepare your final photographs. If you’ve booked the Naked Chapters Experience, I’ll then design your photo book, send it to print, and have it carefully packaged and delivered to you.

How long does it take to receive the final photographs?

Your private online gallery will be ready within one week of your session. Once you’ve chosen your favourite photographs, I’ll prepare your final images, which will be ready within two weeks of your selection.

If you’ve booked the Naked Chapters Experience, your photo book will then be designed, printed, and delivered. The complete process usually takes an additional 2–4 weeks after your final photographs have been delivered.

Can I book a Portrait Session before the Naked Chapters Experience?

Absolutely.

The Portrait Session was created for women who would like to get to know me, experience the way I work, and feel more comfortable in front of my camera before booking the Naked Chapters Experience.

If you later decide to continue with Naked Chapters, we can include some of your favourite photographs from your Portrait Session in your photo book, allowing your story to unfold across both experiences.
